We ordered the chicken & waffles and a chicken sandwich. Both delicious. There were 2 waffles so huge. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Ee both loved our meal

My dad and I stopped in here for a late lunch. We were blown away by how good the food was. It was the best gator I'd ever had in my life, and the best green beans he'd ever had. If you're in Jefferson this is definitely worth the stop. It's just simple Cajun fare done right. The other thing I love about Taste of Caddo is you'll be greeted with a smile every time. The team working there treated us like family. It's worth eating here if you have the opportunity.

As we walked into the restaurant it had a cheerful appeal and Christmas spirit. We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu was easy to read and didn't have six pages of stuff. Don't you hate menus that have six to eight pages worth of small type? We were told the chicken fried steak was amazing and that's what we had our hearts set on. We figured the cornbread muffins were worth a try but at $4 for two muffins, I was pretty disappointed. The house salad was too small and cheap looking (see pictures). The chicken fried steak did not disappoint. We were shocked to be told that they ran out of mashed potatoes and green beans. But somehow they found some last of the mashed potatoes and gave us one helping. The seasoned vegetables were amazing! (See pictures) The food was hot as expected and I had to cool it off. Awesome!! I was tempted to get some bread pudding with cranberries but I didn't have any room left. Definitely worth coming to eat but do it on a weekday before they run out of food.

PROs: Great location. Indoor seatings. Small and quaint place. Off street parking only. Service is friendly and accommodating. Clean establishment. We arrived between lunch and dinner, no wait time for a party of 5 adults. Food was great! And the meal was presented nicely. CONs: Nothing displeasing.

Had a great time here. Food was good. They accommodated me with my vegan choices, and not in that, “nose up” attitude I get sometimes, but with kindness. Teresa was our waitress and she was fun, very friendly and was on point with service. I will go back. We spend a lot of time in Jefferson, and this was my first time eating here. The atmosphere is great, we walked around looking at the beautiful decor, such as the antiques. Highly recommend!

We were only in Jefferson 2 days and we ate here twice because it was so good!
